The struggle for oil is a part of US efforts at global domination. What are the effects of oil dependency on our environment, on climate change? How has Iraq's environment and public health system been devastated? What are the alernatives to oil that exist all around us?

Memorial tribute to Damu Smith, National Black Environmental Justice Network and found of Black Voices for Peace, by Sylvester Brown, St. Louis Post-Dispatch columnist.
