THEME: Why Veganism Is Social Justice

Explore with Kyle Luzynski the idea that veganism is more than a personal diet because the mass exploitation and torture of animals can be eradicated only with social and political restructuring, just as social and political restructuring is essential to address the plight of all oppressed groups.

Kyle Luzynski is an MLK Scholar at SLU with a passion for social justice, environmentalism, and animal rights.  He advocates for LGBT rights, environmental sustainability, racial justice, animal liberation and secular values.  As the highest scoring member of the All-Missouri Academic Team, he was recently named a New Century Scholar.  Kyle is also the Vice President of the St. Louis Animal Rights Team.
