The introduction of genetically modified crops in Africa threatens to poison agricultural workers, undermine public health, drive small farmers off the land and allow a massive transfer of wealth to western corporations. This biological imperialism is the latest step in a pattern of exploitation and domination of African culture, society, economics and politics that has occurred for centuries.
