Police misconduct and violence
are serious concerns for St. Louis citizens. For five years, activists
have been working on a bill to create a civilianbody that would increase
police accountability by investigating complaints.
On March 2, 2005 a panel
will look at recent changes that have gone into the Kennedy Bill for
a Civilian Oversight Board in the City of St. Louis. Speakers will review
the police accountability measures, political issues affecting the Kennedy
Bill, and the timetable for its passage.
This program will kick off
the final push for civilian oversight. An
audience discussion will follow forum presentations by:
