WHERE:  Carpenter Branch Library
3309 South Grand

Local communities increasingly recognize that they must take control of their destiny if they want to promote economic justice. We discuss the utilities rip off and problems with welfare-to-work, and introduce the four pillars of economic justice:

  • environmental protection
  • worker empowerment
  • low income wealth creation
  • sustainable economic development

The forum will include:

* Zaki Baruti, Coalition Against Police Crimes and Repression (CAPCR)

* Cecilia Nadal, Productive Futures

* Fredric Raines, Green Party of St. Louis

* Barbara Chicherio, Green Party USA [moderator]

Sponsored by the Gateway Green Alliance and Universal African Peoples Organization.
