The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Eastern Missouri released its report, "Suffering and Silence: Human Rights Abuse in St. Louis Correctional Centers" in March 2009.
Since then, over a dozen correctional officers and two dozen inmates have substantiated physical abuse, medical neglect, overcrowding, unsanitary conditions, retaliation against guards who stand up for prisoners, and allegations of cover-ups.
We will hear from the author of the report as well as comments from inside the corrections system. Please share your experiences of what you may have seen in St. Louis jails.
