THEME: Our Right to Safe, Affordable Homes

Every citizen should have a home that is free of lead and mold. Eminent domain must cease, both in St. Louis City and County. As the economy slides, we must protect our homes with a moratorium on foreclosures, evictions and utility shutoffs.

But to keep utility bills low, we need to trim the use of gas and electricity. Clotheslines are free to use and inexpensive to install while clothes dryers are the home’s second worst utility hog among appliances.

Keynote Speaker:
Alexander Lee
Exec. Director of Project Laundry List
“Hanging Out to Save Dough...
and Save the Planet, too”

Alexander Lee’s keynote address at the Pesto Feast will focus on the opportunities for improvement to the drying habits of low income households and. The laundry room is the corner office for arresting crises of personal finance, consumerism, climate change, and energy security.
