Mountaintop Coal Removal & Energy in St. Louis

The Mountaintop Removal Road Show includes a stunning 20-minute slide show about the impacts of mountaintop removal on coalfield residents, communities and the environment, including shocking aerial photos of decapitated Appalachian mountains. Also featured is traditional Appalachian mountain music.

David Cooper will discuss how to support the resistance movement. Larry Rice will explain coal in St. Louis, problems with heating homes, and alternative forms of energy. Elson McCowan will challenge the spiritual values of a society based on every-increasing consumption.
