Health care should be a right in every country. Health care dollars should fund health care, rather than the insurance companies and administrators who take 30-50% of health care dollars. Come discuss the sorry state of US health care, a non-universal, multi-payer non-system in which the poor suffer more and die sooner. The US is the only industrialized nation that does not guarantee health care to all citizens. Allocation of care is based on ability to pay, rather than need. Since power concedes nothing without a demand, we must demand it. We will be showing portions of the movie “Fix It: Healthcare at the Tipping Point.”
