Tomato sauce will be available for non-pesto-eaters.
Occupy Monsanto, a global day of action, will begin the week after the Pesto Feast. Across the world, there will be events regarding Monsanto’s increasing control of food and its aggressive development of GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) technology. Many are demanding that food containing GMOs be labeled.
The World headquarters of Monsanto is in St. Louis. Safe Food Action, the Gateway Green Alliance and the Organic Consumers Association are hosting a two day event, “GMO Free Midwest,” the St. Louis portion of Occupy Monsanto.
Barbara Chicherio, James Meinert, Susanne Renard and Don Fitz will be discussing GMO technology and the larger issue of food safety at the Pesto Feast. Please join us to find out more about Occupy Monsanto: GMO Free Midwest.
Sponsored by the Gateway Green Alliance.
